During a stock market competition in middle school, Scott first realized the impact smart financial decisions could have on a person’s future. This early spark ignited a lifelong commitment to guiding individuals and families through the complexities of finance, empowering them to achieve their long-term goals.
Scott takes immense pride in the trust his clients place in him, considering it the bedrock of every successful partnership. He strives to create a transparent, trustworthy environment where clients feel understood and supported.
With over two decades of experience in financial services, Scott focuses on simplifying even the most complex financial situations into straightforward, actionable solutions. His empathetic approach ensures he truly listens to his clients’ concerns, tailoring clear advice that instills confidence and peace of mind. Holding a BS in Finance from the University of Alabama alongside his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PROFESSIONAL (CFP®) designation and Series 7, 66 and 24 licenses, Scott is thoroughly equipped to help clients make informed decisions with clarity and purpose.
Outside the office, Scott enjoys a vibrant life in Hoover, Alabama, with his wife, Elana. Together, they have two children, Aaron and Abigail. Their household also includes two Aussie Doodles, Milo and Maxx. An avid golfer and a big fan of travel, Scott loves spending time exploring new places with family and friends. At home, he’s likely reading one of his favorite espionage or political thrillers or enjoying a comedy special that keeps him laughing. He firmly believes in the value of humor, saying, “Keeping a sense of humor helps us not take ourselves too seriously and enjoy the little moments that make life truly special.”

Don began his career preparing estate tax returns for what is now Bank of America. He later worked for many years at Georgia Power in their corporate tax department.
Don is a financial advisor and founding partner who has applied his experience and skills in the corporate world to help clients find confidence in their own financial planning and investments.
Don holds a BBA degree in Finance and Economics from Mercer University. He obtained His CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation in 2005.

Kaila’s inspiration for joining the financial services industry came from her desire to plan for her own future and her drive to empower others with the tools and knowledge needed to make sound financial decisions. Recognizing the widespread gap in financial literacy, Kaila made it her mission to guide individuals and families toward financial confidence and success.
With a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University and a Series 65 license, Kaila possesses the knowledge and qualifications necessary to provide clear and effective financial guidance. Her professional background includes roles as a financial assistant at Ansley Golf Club and assistant at the Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech, where she developed an exceptional skillset in customer service. This experience taught her how to actively listen to client concerns, anticipate needs and deliver personalized solutions that simplify even the most complex aspects of financial planning.
For Kaila, the most rewarding part of her job is assisting clients with their questions and providing them with the information they need to make informed decisions. She firmly believes financial empowerment starts with education and clarity, and she takes pride in helping clients feel secure and confident as they plan for their futures. Her proactive approach reflects her dedication to helping clients prepare for both the expected and unexpected, ensuring they can maximize their retirement years.
Outside of work, Kaila enjoys spending time with her beloved mixed-breed dog, Draco, who brings joy and energy to her life.

Gary Burger has been assisting retirees for more than three decades. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional and fiduciary, Gary’s goals for retirees are to help them protect their assets, increase their income and net worth, and reduce or eliminate taxes on their Social Security income.
Gary attended the University of South Carolina on an athletic scholarship and graduated with a degree in business management. He is a Registered Investment Adviser with Fidelity and Charles Schwab and is a well-known financial professional in the Gwinnett County area, where many people have attended his seminars. Gary holds a life insurance license in Georgia, in addition to having passed his Series 65 securities exam. Over the years, he has advised respected retirees from top local and national businesses, including General Motors, Verizon Wireless, Georgia Power, SKF and Mars Corporation, as well as retirees in the metro Atlanta school districts.
Gary lives with his wife, Joan, in Sugar Hill, Gwinnett County, Georgia. Joan is a retired Gwinnett County teacher. They have two grown children, Emilie and Gary Jr. Emilie graduated from the University of Georgia in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in recreation and leisure studies. She is the associate head golf coach at Vanderbilt University. Gary Jr. graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in financial planning and computer science. He works in information technology.
In his free time, Gary enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. He is a strong supporter of high school and college athletics.

Amelia joined Park Square Financial Group with a background in client relationships. She graduated from the University of Georgia and earned her Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses after a boss inspired her to do so while working as an administrative assistant.
Amelia takes pride in ensuring advisors and staff have the resources they need to excel in their roles. Amelia admits that starting in finance was like learning a new language for her, so she understands how important it is to break down complex financial topics so clients can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Amelia is married to Dakota, her husband of three years. They have a cat named Molly and a dog named Jack. When she isn’t working, Amelia enjoys reading, traveling and attending Braves games.
